Victor has extensive experience as a miltary and law enforcement instructor.He is a combat veteran, USMC certified Scout/Sniper and has served as a sniper team leader during combat deployments to the Middle East. He has trained in various countries and has qualified in urban, rural, and MOUT operations to name a few.During his combat deployments he established the first American taught police academy in Karbala, Iraq and has instructed and conducted mobile field force operations with the Iraqi police. He is also a Marine Martial Arts (MCMAP) instructor. In addition to his military career, Victor is an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Scott Sheldon
President / Director of Training
Scott is the founder of SERT Group International. He has been teaching tactical medical courses to individuals and units from the United States military, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies for the last 14 years. Scott is a licensed paramedic and has extensive experience in tactical and air rescue operations. He was instrumental in developing the tactical medical program for the Ventura (CA) County Sheriffs Dept where he served as the medical team leader and lead TEMS instructor. His responsibilities included operational medical planning, threat assessment, and providing immediate medical care during all operations and trainings. He participated in numerous VIP protective support details including Operation Sundown, the funeral for President Ronald Reagan. Scott has trained and worked with personnel from various law enforcement and military Special Operations communities. Prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom he trained the King of Jordan's Personal Protective Unit's tactical medical team. Scott is a frequent lecturer, speaking at various law enforcement and military conferences around the country, including the prestigious Special Operations Medical Association.

Nathan Carlin
Combatives and Edged Weapons Instructor
Nathan is a highly respected Martial Arts instructor. He holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in American Tang Soo Do and was the13th person to earn Masters Ranking within the American Tang So Do Alliance.Nathan is also an accomplished instructor in edged and blunt weapons as well as Krav Maga. He is a college professor teaching Physical Education and Martial Arts. Nathan has taught numerous self - defense seminars for military and law enforcement personnel,as well as civilians. He has worked as a Personal Security Specialist and is the lead safety instructor for the SMART Leadership program.

Jim Zourek
Instructor
Jim has had a varied career in both law enforcement and the military. As a United States Marine he served as a Scout/Sniper team member during combat operations in Iraq and is both a Marine Corps Martial Arts instructor and a MOUT instructor. During Iraqi Freedom he designed and implemented a course of basic law enforcement for the Karbala (Iraq) Police Dept. He currently serving as an Intelligence Analyst with the Air National Guard, functioning as a Mission Intelligence Coordinator for Remotely Piloted Aircraft operations. Jim’s law enforcement career began as a Correctional Officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons where he worked as part of a Disturbance Control Team. Jim is currently an officer with the LAPD. In addition to his firearms expertise, Jim is also our primary post-incident articulation instructor.

Javier Brito
Associate Instructor
Javier is a United States Marine combat veteran with extensive experience as a
Scout / Sniper.and weapons expert. He has served as a Scout / Sniper team leader and is trained in intelligence, recon,surveillance and foreign weapons. Javier is also a tactical tracking (mantracker) instructor and brings his unique skill sets to our specialty courses.
