Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Deputy Ivan Miller passed away of natural causes on December 30, 2011 leaving behind a son,Taylor. Ivan enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and was assigned to 1/1 as an infantryman. He later completed the indoctrination course into a Marine Scout Sniper platoon. Soon after, he attended the Division Scout Sniper school graduating with honors. While serving as a Scout Sniper Ivan completed two overseas tours. After exiting the USMC Ivan chose a law enforcement career. He worked as a Deputy for the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department until his death.
